Ray Guns Look Real Enough
Musical / Comedy Act
Ray Guns Look Real Enough are the worlds first Acoustic, comedy, rock, pop, mashup duo. They have been cutting a swathe through the music, comedy and cabaret scene in London and the south for the past 2 years.
They are an act like no other, combining a high level of musicality and fun to create the atmosphere of a vast stadium rock concert in a space the size of a hatchback!
Ryan and Paul met several years ago on the European theatre circuit and began their musical journey on a beach playing medleys of 60’s songs. One thing led to another and now the boys have perfected the art of combining only the best bits of the best pop and rock hits from the 60’s to the present day into a show that’s both mesmerizing and hilarious.
RGLRE can play requests made in advance and, most impressively, can create a brand new mix of songs from audience suggestions during a 20 minute interval (Internet access is required).
Along the way, RGLRE have played pubs, clubs, weddings, birthday parties, charity fund raisers, after show parties, restaurants, comedy gong shows plus have saved a championship football club and a historical London music venue from closure.
The band can provide a PA system (depending on the venue) and require only one plug socket. Their set up time is 15mins and they can fit into a 6ft square space or fill an arena.
Additional stage and lights can be provided upon request.
August 2010 saw Rayguns Look Real Enough perform a sell out residency at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival,
Their show was pretty much a sell out which was fantastic and got 4 and 5* reviews and they now have lots of shiny new fans!!
They also played lots of guest slots like 'best of the fest' at assembly, Timeout's 'laugh out loud', Mervyn Stutters 'pick of the fringe', plus various gigs for Spank which included one in the Udderbelly (big upside down purple cow) of which you can see the picture below, and opening 'The Big One' at the Mcewan Hall which is Edinburgh's biggest venue and seats 1000 people where we shared the bill with acts like Stephen K Amos and Al Murray.
"They rock the house, we love them." - Timeout.
"The kings of comedy mash ups" - Hairline.
"Gutsy, riotous juggernaut of fun" - The Public Reviews.
