Back in the late 80's Jim worked through the national heats of the ITV show 'New Faces', finally winning the Grand Final on ITV, beating a certain Joe Pasquale into second place! From then on Jim has gone from strength to strength working with artists such as Joe Pasquale, Lenny Henry, Bill Bailey and Peter Kay together with clients such as British Airways, Ford and British Telecom and at venues such as the British Grand Prix, Number 10 Downing street and the Imperial Hotel Las Vegas. Cruise companies worldwide use the show including the QE2, Disney, Princess, P&O, Royal Caribbean and TV credits include BBC1s Weakest Link with his sidekick Lightening Les, Sky TV, Channel 4 and most recently ITV's 'When Britain First had Talent' with Joe Pasquale.

With a multitude of characters to suit everyone, Jim has hosted corporate events and sports dinners all over the United Kingdom, in a number of the countries finest golf, cricket and football clubs. With new characters joining the show regularly, a surfer and a blonde bombshell being the latest arrivals from the USA.  Jimmy continues to stay at the top of his game with fresh ideas and a unique approach to ventriloquism.

Jimmy originates from Reading in Berkshire and now enjoys the Devon air where he lives with his wife and 5 children!

As a true professional, Jim recognises the need to adapt to each audience, venue and client. Whether it be a small room or club, to a large auditorium or festival Jim can tailor each show to suit them accordingly.

Jimmy's reputation precedes him. How does he do it? His lips are sealed!

Testimonials

"A real gem of a vent act, Tamley is as good as acts like this can become. A huge array of characters on show, with Lightening Les the underweight boxer proving to be a real winner. Tamley is also one of the few ventriloquists who is just as effective in holiday centres as on a theatre stage." - Mark Ritchie (The Stage Newspaper 2007).

"Don't expect the traditional one man and his doll routine that can often lose its inital impact, when you go and see Jimmy Tamely. There is no way he just stays still with a sole character. This guy has at least four and they all make an impact. The cross talk between them cleverly interrupted by Tamley is quite delightful." - John Hannam (The Stage Newspaper).

"Probably the best technical ventriloquist I've seen in the last 20 years." - Ray Alan and Lord Charles.

"Jimmy Tamley without doubt gave us the funniest 50 minutes of our lives. The crowd agreed because they were calling and screaming for more. If you want to be entertained by sheer class book Jimmy Tamley." - Tim Clifford, (Cork, University Events Organiser).

"Jimmy Tamley, billed as one of the funniest ventriloquists around. So often acts rely on the cuddly nature of their props and forget about their material, not so here. He quickly built a great rapport between the members of his 'family' and the audience and the comedy is of a high standard throughout. His last character - 'underweight' boxer Lightning Les - is a classic." - Derek Smith (The Stage).

"A huge thank you to Jimmy Tamley for performing at our 'end of campaign' celebration. He was a great success and made a lasting impression ." - British Sugar plc.

"An excellent topical entertainer who was technically quite superb. A bright modern act presented extremely professionally " - Major T.J. Cavender (HQ Army School of Mechanical Transport - Combined Services Entertainment).
