Christine Hamilton appears regularly on TV and radio, on entertainment shows and on news and current affairs programmes. Her repertoire includes everything from "Have I Got News for You" and "The Big Breakfast" to "Any Questions" and "Newsnight". She also writes for various newspapers and magazines.
She is in demand to speak at luncheons, dinners and gatherings of all kinds, equally at home with male, female or mixed audiences, enlivening many a conference dinner with her charm and humour. A practised, entertaining and witty speaker, she lifts the veil on the discreet yet not-so-discreet World of Westminster and enthuses hilariously about her "Great British Battleaxes".
I just wondered if you could pass on my thanks to Christine and Neil for attending our Members Dinner last night. I don't have an email address for them clearly - but I know you do!
Both Christine and Neil were wonderful, being so enthusiastic and keen to engage with our guests. They arrived early and left late... I certainly dashed off before them and I understand they were there until after midnight. What dedication! I hope they enjoyed the evening and did not find it a chore! Already I am getting feedback from people saying how lovely it was to have speakers who were so available and happy to mingle with the guests... we struck it lucky with the Hamilton's.
Christine gave a very entertaining speech and by all the smiling faces around the room - she pitched it just right and went down well. This year saw our first female President of the BPA and Christine did well to weave that into her talk on "strong women and battleaxes"... I am sure our President felt pleased at the support from the stage.
So if you could pass on my email to Christine and Neil - i would be very grateful. Thanks to you both for assisting us hold a very successful evening.
