Sarah Montague - Awards Host - Seminar Host - After Dinner Speaker

Sarah presents BBC Radio 4’s flagship Today Programme. She is also an occasional presenter on BBC World’s Hardtalk.

Since joining the BBC for the launch of News24 in 1997, she has presented many programmes including Newsnight on BBC2 and Breakfast News on BBC1.

 

Her first job was as a television reporter in the Channel Islands. After three years as a local journalist she moved back to London as a freelance reporter working for ITN, Sky and Reuters. She was approached by the BBC to launch its twenty-four hour news channel BBC News 24.

She began her career in finance, working first as a private client stockbroker for County Natwest then in Eurobond sales for Natwest Capital Markets. After leaving the city she went into business with a friend setting up the mail order company Charles Tyrwhitt shirts which has gone on to be very successful.
