Jason Leonard

Jason Leonard

At the age of 21, Jason was the youngest prop ever to play for England. By the time he finally retired from international rugby 14 years later, he had become the world's most capped forward with 114 appearances.

One of these appearances stands out more than any other - the 2003 World Cup final against Australia, when he came off the bench to help steer England to victory.

Jason captained England twice, once against Argentina in 1996 when he also scored the only try of his international career. He represented the Lions on three tours, to New Zealand, South Africa and Australia - and has a train locomotive named after him.
