Anna Hemmings, is a rare breed in British sport…she is an undisputed World and European Champion.
Anna, from Surrey, is the UK's leading female canoeist who dramatically broke into the top flight of the sport at the amazing age of just 20 when she won the gruelling 26 mile Marathon event at the 1997 European Championships.
In 1999 she regained her European crown, before adding to her European successes by heroically winning the Marathon World Championships - becoming the youngest ever competitor to do so. She also became the first ever British female canoeist to win both European and World titles.
Then, in 2001, she went one better, winning the event in both the K1 (singles) and K2 (doubles) class of the event. Anna is only the second person in the history of the sport to ever win both the K1 and K2 world titles in the same World Championships.
In 2001, the same year that Anna became double world champion, she graduated from Royal Holloway College, University of London with a BSC Honours degree in Economics and Management (2:1)

These are some of the topics that Anna will talk about. Your people will be spellbound!....
Self Belief – is the first fundamental requisite to success. If you don’t believe in yourself, your ability, your product, your company or whatever it is you are trying to do then you are putting a limit on your success. Self belief gives you the confidence to achieve at the highest level.
Goal setting – prevents you from drifting along aimlessly. Setting goals that are exciting and challenging gives you direction, it motivates you, and it gives you a sense of achievement and satisfaction when you reach them. Goal setting supports you in making the right choices – choices that are in alignment with your vision. The world will step aside for the person who knows where they are going.
Motivation – is the passion, the inner desire within you. Finding out and doing whatever it is that motivates you will encourage you to give 110% all of the time and to be 100% committed - this will allow you to be the BEST that YOU can be.
Adversity – learning to love adversity is the first step towards achieving success against the odds. In this business there is only one thing more rewarding than success and that is success in the face of adversity. Achieving in the face of adversity demonstrates courage - it is courage that separates the winners from the losers.
Pressure – can be limiting or it can drive us, it just depends on how you view it and how you manage it. Knowing how to thrive on pressure will enable you to achieve peak performance even in the most challenging environments.
Mindset – it’s your mindset not your skills that gives you the extra edge. Developing a positive mental attitude will enable you to turn your dreams into realities. Learning to turn negative thoughts and emotions into positive ones - whatever the circumstances – will ensure constant improvement, infinite progress and a feeling of empowerment.
Limits – there are no limits!! Get out of the limitations and push the boundaries. Dare to be different - the rewards for the daring are great. Don’t put a limit on your success – anything is possible.
Visualisation – seeing it is believing it! Your mind doesn’t know the difference between a vividly imagined experience and a real life experience. Learn to programme your mind for success.
