Think rock, pop and soul and you think electric
guitars, drums and keyboard. But why should a musical style be
restricted by it's instrumentation?
With this in mind, vocalist Tim Hood approached
arrangers Timothy Kraemer and Bill Thorp with the idea of reworking a
collection of classics such as Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze for string
quartet, bass and voice. |

The result is
STRUNG OUT. |

Their repertoire ranges from sweeping arrangements
of Queen and Sting to raw renditions of The Kinks and Red Hot Chili
Peppers.
STRUNG OUT make mischief with Abba and dive into
the grooves of James Brown and Stevie Wonder. Pink Floyd’s Money has a
sound of its own. |
