Mark
Cook OBE
A soldier for over 30 years, culminating in his role as Commander
of the British UN Contingent in the former Yugoslavia, Mark Cook was nearing
retirement when in 1993 a destroyed Croatian orphanage changed his life. With
its walls and children lying in ruins as war ravaged the country, Mark committed
there and then to rebuild the orphanage and rescue the 60 children from their
living hell, spent cowering in the flooded cellars
Seven years on, 40 paid and volunteer staff work in conjunction with overseas
partners to provide small family homes for 2,000 orphaned and abandoned children
in 14 European and African countries, including Romania, Rwanda and Sierra Leone
Mark is an accomplished speaker and broadcaster. His incredible achievements are
backed by a charismatic nature which, despite having seen the tragedies of war
and its destitute children at first hand, contains an incredible joie de vivre.

Paul
Fletcher
In a sixteen year career as a professional footballer, Paul Fletcher never made
it to Wembley. But in his second career he went on to achieve his dream. Over
the last decade he has been Chief Executive at two of the finest football club
stadiums ever to be built in this country, both winning Building of the Year
Awards in 1995 and 1998. He reached the pinnacle in stadia design and
construction when he was invited to become Director of Commercial Affairs at the
new £400 million Wembley Stadium redevelopment in April 1999 - walking away from
the project 18 months later, three months before the project collapsed, to spend
'more time with the family'
He now regularly attends Sporting and Corporate events explaining how he has
used his Sporting experiences in the business world to secure some of the most
lucrative sponsorships and commercial
deals of the past decade.
His experience as an After Dinner speaker for over 20 years, provides a humorous
insight to his presentations which achieve a happy blend between message and
entertainment. Excellent as a motivational speaker, or as an after dinner
speaker.

Garry
Herbert and Mathew Pinsent
Three Olympic gold medals and seven World Championship golds makes Matthew
Pinsent one of Britain's most successful athletes in any sport. The coxless
four's dominance of their event for the past four seasons is a testament to
Matthew's courage, ability and determination. In 1992 Garry Herbert won an
Olympic Gold Medal coxing the Searle brothers in the Coxed Pairs where they
dramatically beat the reigning world and Olympic champions from Italy, also
brothers. During the Medal Ceremony that followed, Garry shed a tear or two (so
he is constantly reminded), although he still maintains that the camera did not
show Jonny Searle standing on his foot! In 1993 the trio became World Champions,
again beating the Italian crew.
Matthew and Garry deliver a fascinating double act, replaying the excitement and
the tension that saw Matthew win his 3rd Gold Medal and Steven Redgrave his
5th.Together they provide a fascinating insight into the amount of work and
training that goes into becoming an Olympic Champion, yet at the same time, tell
their story in a humorous and motivational way. |

Brian
Jones
In March 1999 Brian Jones and his fellow pilot Bertrand Piccard became the first
men to circumnavigate the world by balloon. This final great aviation first
which had eluded so many, perhaps most notably Richard Branson, was accomplished
by making the longest and furthest flight in history - in any form of flying
machine within the earth's atmosphere. Seven world records were established. He
is currently working on a project with fellow balloonist and round the world
contender Andy Elson, as Flight Director on a project to fly a balloon to the
edge of space - more than 40km high
Brian has a fascinating story to tell, delivering an inspirational yet
motivational speech. |

Garry
Richardson
BBC Sports Broadcaster and reporter Garry Richardson (pictured right) also
recently interviewed former US President Bill Clinton when rain stopped play, at
the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament.
A very different style to Nik Gowing but equally well received around the globe.
Garry is one of our most popular after dinner speakers and will no doubt be
including his encounter with Bill, in his repertoire of sporting anecdotes for
which he is justly famous.
