Martin Glenn is
President of the recently created PepsiCo UK company, which is a merger
of Walkers Snacks Foods, Pepsi Cola, Tropicana and Quaker Foods. PepsiCo
UK has a turnover and profits approaching $450m.
Prior to assuming
this position, Martin was President of Walkers Snack Foods, whom he
joined in 1992, working his way up from Director of New Product
Development, Vice-President of Marketing (where he introduced the
on-going Gary Lineker advertising campaign and launched the 'Doritos
Tortilla Chip' brand) to become company President in 1998.
Martin is also an
active member of the 'Business in the Community' charity serving
'Leicester Cares' - a volunteering promotion organisation, and 'The
National Cause Related Marketing Campaign Committee'. Martin was awarded
the Prince of Wales Ambassador Award in recognition of his work in this
area (recognising in particular the successful 'Free Books for Schools'
campaign which has run since 1992). Martin was also awarded Marketing
Week's Chief Executive Award in 2003.
When not working,
Martin tries to stay fit by running and coaching a kid's football team.
He is also a Director of Leicester City Football Club. |
