Mark
Pougatch presents highlights and goals from the day’s Premiership matches on
Match of The Day, Saturday’s on BBC1, plus a round-up of the best of the action
from the FA Cup . Since 1994 Mark has also presented Sport on 5, for Radio 5
Live, Saturdays 12:30 – 18:00; presenting live events such as THE WORLD CUP from
Japan including The Final in Yokohama. He has also presented the The Grand
National, Twickenham Rugby Internationals and English Nationals - among them
Germany v Munich. The show consists of 5 hours of live coverage every Saturday,
all the main sporting events, majoring on football, with a peak of 3 million
listeners. Mark also hosts Sports Report which includes results, interviews and
reactions on all the major sporting stories of the day. |

Mark’s career has seen him reporting,
presenting and commentating on a vast array of major sporting events from around
the globe, as well as providing voice-overs for Football Focus and Match of the
Day, as well as presenting the Wimbledon Garden Party with co-presenters Tony
Hawks, Annabel Croft and Craig Doyle. He has also presented 110% More on BBC
Choice and is a regular on Fighting Talk with Johnny Vaughan on both Radio 5
Live and BBC 2.
Mark has a fortnightly column in The Times
sports pull out section called The Game.
Mark completed his Postgraduate Diploma in
Radio Journalism in June 1991 at London College of Printing, London Institute.
Previous to this he gained a Politics Degree at University of Durham where he
also won The Baxter Prize.
In the corporate market, Mark's easy yet no
nonsense style makes him a popular choice for event hosting, conference
facilitation and chairing quizzes.
