Jamie Baulch

Jamie Baulch

Jamie Steven Baulch (born May 3, 1973 in Nottingham, England) is a British sprint athlete. He has represented Wales at the Commonwealth Games.

Baulch excelled as a trampolinist in his youth and won a silver medal in 1991 in the Welsh Schools Trampoline Championship.

Baulch has trained previously under 1992 Summer Olympics 100m champion Linford Christie but is currently coached by Innocent Egbunike himself a silver medallist at the 1987 World Championships in Athletics at 400 metres.

As well as his individual 400m achievements, Baulch is especially well remembered for his 4x400m relay exploits for Great Britain at major championships, where his attacking front running style endeared him to British fans.

Baulch can often be seen on television in the United Kingdom appearing on such programmes as A Question of Sport and in 2003 came third in the BBC Superstars event. He was a trainee ranger in Safari School, broadcast in January/February 2007.

In January 2008 Baulch was appointed the Sprint coach for the Bradford Bulls Rugby League Club.

Also in March 2008 Baulch was offered a position of A&R in newly set up record company GMF Records alongside Rock/Metal drummer for Losing Sun - Jayce Lewis.
