Funktonite started out in 1997 as "afrodizzyak (soul and funk to turn you on)", before replacing one bad pun with another in 2000. They are a London-based group of professional and semi-professional musicians who have played across the UK and continental Europe. The band are all in their twenties, and hold an infectious love for the music they play. Funktonite have shared a stage with the likes of Fun Lovin' Criminals, Courtney Pine, Finley Quaye and the Commitments, yet are equally at home playing at weddings and private functions, and have a versatile repertoire which can be tailored to suit any occasion. |

Their 8-piece line-up is the classic: male and female vocals, 2-piece horns, bass/backing vocals, guitar, keyboards and drums. Coupled with a great live show, Funktonite's explosive blend of soul and funk is guaranteed to thrill any audience. Jackson, Erma Franklin, Sam & Dave, The Jackson Five, Stevie Wonder, Wilson
Pickett, Otis Redding... Funktonite is an eight-piece band, comprising male and female vocals, two horns, guitar, keyboards, bass and drums. The band comes fully equipped, with a sound system, lighting, and even a DJ if you need one. There are a few things you'll need to provide: Playing Area:-A minimum of 20ft x 12ft, preferably staged. Power:- Six main sockets near the staging area.
