Essence
is a young and extremely professional duo, whose dedication and
perfectionism has put them in great demand, taking them all over Europe.
Using the latest technology and best equipment they deliver an amazing 'full
band' sound. Their huge repertoire encompasses ballads, standards and the
latest chart music, allowing them to cater for every occasion. Their
performance is further enhanced by their fantastic 3000w lighting rig, which
puts even the most elaborate discos in the shade. They are clearly a
different league with many corporate accolades and testimonials. |

Jacqueline (Vocals)
After huge success in the Netherlands, (her home country) working as a
television presenter and as the face of Diesel fashion, she moved to England
to pursue her singing career. Settling in London, she was promptly snapped
up to work with top producers as a session vocalist in recording studios.
Her voice is incredibly versatile, allowing her to attack and pull off a
wide range of musical styles. This vocal talent coupled with her TV
experience means that her personality and stage presence is second to none.
If she can't get your audience dancing - no one can. She belts out hits
many singers would not even attempt, yet can still apply control and
subtlety for breathtaking ballads. After wanting to get back into the
performing side of music (rather than in studios) she found Tim. Together
they share the same philosophy, if your going to do something, do it
properly! |

Tim
(Keyboards, Backing vocals)
Having played piano since the age of six and in bands since sixteen, he has
gained a lot of experience and recognition. He's always being approached to
join other bands and often asked to produce backing tracks for other duo's
and artistes. He uses an array of keyboards, computers, light sequencers and
drum machines to make each song a show piece. Highly regarded in his field
he has even been approached by Yamaha Japan for his ideas in product
development. A perfectionist in all areas. He has even written music for
theatre and performed at Wembley Arena. |

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do you play for?
Typically we provide 3 sets of 45 minutes
live music and keep the atmosphere going (and dance floor packed) with disco
music when we take our breaks. There is no need for an additional disco.
We can also provide background music while people are eating/arriving and
provide use of microphones for speeches, raffles and toast-masters etc.
Additionally (if you are a bit shy) - we can also make announcements!
How much room do you take up?
We do have a lot of equipment but we're also
very flexible. Ideally we like 15ft by 10ft (same as average 5 piece). If we
don't have the width then we need height so we don't roast under the lights.
If the space is required for seating we can set-up to ensure everything is
running smoothly and then compact down to take up less space. We can then
expand discretely in about 10 minutes.

How long do you take to set up?
Providing we have close vehicle access we can
be set-up in an hour and a half. Normally we set-up in the morning, as the
last thing you guests want is us lugging heavy equipment past them and sound
checking on their special evening.
Do you do requests?
Our repertoire is based on experience of what
goes down well. If you have any requests for special songs, please let us
know in advance and we will do our best. For weddings we can learn and
perform your first dance which is so much more personal than just playing
the CD.
Do I need to provide anything?
No, we are totally self contained. However,
we would appreciate a place to get changed. We need 3 separate power sockets
(but carry long extension leads).
How far do you travel?
We are based in Essex and travel ideally
within a two hour range. This covers all of London, East Anglia and South
East Coast. We can travel further but obviously petrol and accommodation
have to be taken into the equation.
Do you have a back-up?
We don't like to dwell on this too much but
in the event of illness, (would be silly to ignore this) Tim works closely
with 3 other professional singers who could cover in the event of an
emergency. Tim also works with many other musicians, so can always arrange
professional cover of a very high standard.
THE SHOW MUST (and always does) GO ON!. How
many other bands can offer this?
Note: Tim has actually flown a singer out to
Germany to continue a tour, rather than let people down
