boxing, athletics, snooker and darts - and adding hilarious comedy, makes Aaron
James a speaker not to be missed!
Imagine Chris Eubank singing a ballad, Peter Beardsley at the doctors or Arnold
Schwarzenegger as James Bond and you have some idea of what it's all about!
Aaron keeps it topical with new faces such as Prince Naseem Hamed and in one of
his hilarious routines a host of sporting stars can be seen advertising various
products including Kevin Keegan, John Barnes and Frank Bruno.

Liddle
Born in South London in 1960, Rod was educated
at a comprehensive school in Guisborough, Cleveland, and the London School of
Economics. His pre-BBC career saw various roles, including a reporter on The
South Wales Echo and Western Mail, and a research assistant and speechwriter for
the Labour Party during the 1980's. .
New to the After Dinner Speaking circuit but an experienced raconteur at
conferences and elsewhere. Rod draws on his inside knowledge of how the BBC's
leading news and current affairs programmes are put together.
Rod has been editor of the Radio 4 Today since 1998 and is therefore the "boss"
of such shrinking violets as John Humphrys, Sue MacGregor and James Naughtie!
Before this Rod was involved with Any Questions, and often is called upon to
warm up audiences when the programmes go live. Rod writes a weekly column for
the Guardian Newspaper.

Johnny
Vegas
Johnny is a highly accomplished and versatile
comedy actor. He recently co-starred in Happiness on BBC2 with Paul Whitehouse,
and has appeared in Attention Scum with Simon Munnery; both shows being
nominated for The Golden Rose Of Montreux. Johnny has also co-starred alongside
Stephen Tompkinson in the BBC drama, Staying Up, and starred in Radio 4's
acclaimed adaptation of The Flump. Johnny has also made regular, talked about,
appearances on the BBC series I Love The '70's, I Love The '80's, and has just
recorded his contribution for I Love The '90's, and he has been widely acclaimed
as the Star of the Series.
Johnny has also appeared on a wide range of
panel games, from Never mind The Buzzcocks, BBC2, and They Think Its All Over,
BBC1, Patrick Kielty's Stupid Punts as well as making memorable appearances on
shows as diverse as Jumpers For Goalposts, Sky One, Don't Feed The Gondolas, and
The Late, Late Show, RTE.
Johnny is available for awards ceremonies and some speaking engagements.

Martin
The world of corporate entertainment has recently discovered John's talent and
he is now very much in demand for those special company occasions. Over the last
few months John's work has included engagements for British Telecom, Ford
Motors, Barclays Bank, Natwest, Grant Thornton, Bosch UK, Stakis Hotel Chain,
Wentworth Golf Club, The Institute of Directors, P&O Cruises, Chase Manhattan
Bank, Planet Hollywood (London) and a special show at the Houses of Parliament.
A journalist once described John as 'almost a human joke factory', which was
virtually confirmed in 1993 when he claimed the World Record for Non Stop Joke
Telling (101 hours 39 minutes) and has earned his rightful place in the Guinness
Book of Records.

Mel
Goldberg
Mel Goldberg was educated at St John's College, Cambridge and founded his own
firm under the style of Douglas Goldberg & Co. He is now a Partner and Head of
the Sports Division at Grower Freeman & Goldberg in London. He has represented
numerous international football players and clubs, Olympic gold medallists and
several world champions in boxing, squash, tennis and athletics.
He recently represented Hans Seger in the successful defence of that footballer
in the "Match Fixing Trial" which was billed as the Football Trial of the
Century. He is co author of the book entitled "The Final Score" published by
Robson Books. Mel has a wicked sense of humour and is often sought after by the
media because he is extremely media friendly. Mel is a real pleasure to have
around and would most certainly be a success at any after dinner event.
