Charlie is familiar to millions as the key sports presenter on Sky News. He started in journalism as a reporter for the Hounslow Informer in the mid 80s and went into broadcasting in 1988 as a sports reporter with Capital Gold. In 1990 he started working for Sky. At the same time, he freelanced for other companies like Screensport and IRN. He commentated on the 1991 rugby world cup, and ATP tennis for Screensport. For Sky, he was football reporter from 1992 to 94 for the next five years was the main cricket reporter, going on seven England cricket tours, plus covering the domestic seasons back home and the 1999 world cup. Since 1999 he has presented on Sky News, as well as freelancing for independent companies like Octagon and ISL. He is very popular in the corporate market, hosting sporting dinners and events, drawing on his 16 years broadcast experience. |
